lunch and festivities

Q, Nancy, and I went to the new Korean place on New Rd. We ordered 2 things of BBQ beef and 1 soup. I was a bit upset because they forgot to pour the water into the rice pot. It was still a good lunch though. We were all pretty hungry and didn't really talk too much. We talked briefly about some movies, but we spent most of the time eating.

After lunch, I suggested we go to Applegate Farm's for ice cream. I called M up and asked her if she wanted to come. She claimed that she was in the process of stretching to run, but in the face of ice cream, who can resist? With not much convincing, she conceded.

I tried out one of their flavor's of the month, Dulce de Leche, or something like that. It was pretty good. After awhile though, it was just a little too sweet.

We decided to go back to my place to play some DDR. Nancy's mad good. She was getting like 100 combos across the board. On the other hand, Q and M are both terrible. Nancy and I both had to console our significant others after each time they failed.

Jehf called and was wondering if we were playing. I told him to just swing by. He came over while Q and I were trying to set up Time Crisis with DDR pads. Oh my goodness, it is so hard to play Time Crisis with DDR pads. We had to continue left and right.

Afterwards, we switch back to DDR. Jehf had never been exposed to DDR so he watched Q and I play for a bit. Jehf eventually jumped on the pads to do his best. I played on the other one. I let him choose all the songs, it just happened that a lot of the songs that he chose were really difficult. I had to do my best to keep us from failing. It was good though, it really stretched me and I think I improved because of it. Jehf didn't know any better and didn't know there were difficulties associated with the particular songs.

Q and Nancy left around 6 PM EST. When they left, I put on Time Crisis 3 for Jehf. He tried playing through the Alicia's story, but it was just too difficult for him. After retrying the same stage about 10 times, he gave up.

My car was still at church, so he dropped me off on the way to M's place.
