sunday morning
I went to church early today because Pat had baptism class. I brought my laptop to try and do some work before service. There were a few script ideas that I was working on but none of them have even finished their first incarnations yet. I've been working on one specifically, Belt Loops, that's been extremely difficult to write. It's only on page 5 and I think it's advanced a little faster than I'd like it.
The hardest part of the script is that I'm writing for 2 characters that I know nothing about. I'll try and post a synopsis of it tomorrow night so you have an idea of what I'm talking about.
I'm going to stop posting the drafts of my scripts up here, mainly for copyright issues. I need to find a way to release my scripts under a license that's similar to open source.
It was hard going, and I wrote maybe 10 lines.
Jaime came by with an article about "The Will to Love", based on the same message that I had listened to a few weeks ago: "I, Isaaec, take thee, Rebekkah" by Ravi Zacharias. M read it and I could tell was deeply moved by it. It's an extremely good piece and I recommend everyone to read it, even if you're not interested in dating.
After M finished the article, John came in with a bag from Dunk 'n Donuts. M and I both had a craving for donuts, so we ran out and grabbed a quick breakfast. I got a small coffee with cream and sugar and a glazed donut. M got a medium dunkichino and a croisant with sausage, egg, and cheese.
While we were at Dunk 'n Donuts, we saw Mindy and Vicky. They were wrapping up on breakfast or a meeting or some sort. I advised Mindy that when she got back to church, they would not be able to find parking.
Once M got her order, we decided that it was such a beautiful day, we should go back to church and eat on the bench outside. When we got back, there was absolutely no parking left. Even Mindy was still circling the parking lot waiting for someone to leave so a space would open up. It was around 11:10 AM EST, so it wouldn't be awhile until people started leaving. I suggested that we just park on the side and sit and have our breakfast.
Eventually a spot opened up and M was able to get parking.
