Third Times the Charm
Last night, we tried to go see Million Dollar Baby. The movie started at 7:10 and when we started getting people together, it was a little before 6. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the theatre on Rt 3 so we figured we would pick up some food along the way. Todd decided to invite Jimmy and Marco to come out, which was fine, but they didn't know where the theatre was.
We decided to eat together, but by the time we decided where we were going to eat, it was like 6:25. Definately not enough time to sit down and eat and make it to the movie.
Failing to see the movie, we decided to rent a movie and grab dinner.
Jimmy wanted to see Napolean Dynamite, so we went to Blockbusters to pick it up. Jimmy doesn't have a DVD player, so I brought my PS2 over.
At dinner, two of marco's friends met up with us: Jen and some other girl. Marco introduced her, but I didn't really hear her name and I didn't care enough to find out. Most likely, I would never see these people again.
We went over to Jimmy's place, which is in W. Caldwell. If I knew that that's where he lived, I would've waited to rent the movie because he lives so close to a Blockbusters.
Jimmy has House of Flying Daggers and people kind of wanted to watch both. Not really being able to decide, they left the decision up to an 8-Ball which decided on Daggers
It's definately different watching the movie a second time. A lot of the dialogue just becomes weird because you know the truth and you know the character knows the truth too. It actually became more difficult to watch because of this. You keep thinking to yourself, well, why'd they bother doing this if they already know?
It was alright. I spent most of the night flipping through Dwell.
