entomology

comes frome the cantonese word: jook. which is a congee. the word was coined while i was talking to M about getting my wisdom teeth out. since i wouldn't be able to eat any solid (read: real) food for awhile, i was pretty bummed. she mentioned that i'd at least be able to eat jook. which really wasn't that bad of an alternative. thus, j00k was coined for other situations very similar to this.


Date Tonight

i alluded to this earlier in my previous post. M and i are going to go to toscano's for dinner tonight. it's this great cozy little italian place on rt 10, just past the exxon by whippany rd.

the food is great and the service is friendly and welcoming. M and i had dinner there during the summer and we just fell in love w/ it.

Contacts

went by the optomotrist[sic] today. found out that that the reason why my right contact was bothering me was cuz the astigmatism correction was a bit off. he swapped it for another one which is much better. it's still drifting a bit, but not so bad that my vision goes out.

i got me 4 boxes, which should, technically, last me 6 months. but the way that i wear my contacts, it'll probably last me more like 2 years.
