Shopping: Woodbury Commons
Saturday was beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better day to go shopping. Ben, M and I went up to Woodbury Commons to do a bit of shopping. I had a small agenda: find shoes. Jen Lee's wedding is coming up in a little under a month, and I need some real shoes for it. I've been rocking these disgusting Skechers for a little too long. There's a freakin' hole in the bottom of the shoe where rocks get stuck in and jangle around. Talk about ghetto.
The pursuit of footwear, although the primary endeavor, wasn't the only one. We hit up a lot of the regular places: Banana Republic, Diesel, DKNY, Guess, A|X, etc. The footshops: Aldo, Kenneth Cole, anywhere else that sold shoes. Did I find any? Of course not. I am destined to go through life without a decint pair of dress shoes. I've been on the look out for shoes for over a year now. There have been a few times where I've found a pair that I like, but they never have them in my size. I just can't win.
I've given up on looking for shoes on sale, it's just impossible for me to find any at a decint price. So what if I have to pay full price for a pair of shoes? It's better than wasting several months hunting down a deal that I may not even be able to get. And the fact that there are so few pairs of shoes that I actually like, makes it even more difficult.
Story of my life.
At least with other clothes, it isn't as big of a deal.
Note: If you ever go to Woodbury Commons and plan to dine there, go to the food court, and go to the Fresh Mexican Grille (or something like that). Fair prices, good food. Got a burito for $7.50 USD (after tax). You don't exactly get a lot of meat in the burito, but it tastes good and is very filling.
