first day of work

My first day of work. It wasn't that exciting. I spent the morning in orientation and found myself zoning out and not really understanding some of it. It's a good thing a lot of this stuff is online so I can just look at it at my leisure.

I got out of training at around 11:45 AM EST and went to my desk. I didn't really get a chance to settle in before we went to lunch. I had training class at 1:00 PM EST so I wouldn't have any other time to eat.

At lunch, I met Kenny and Pete. Pete set a goal for himself to find a girl by the end of the year. Kenny, being the funny guy he is, wanted to put a bet on it. He put up $50 USD. If Pete could get a girl by the end of the year, he would get $50. Otherwise, Pete would have to shell out $50. Dave wanted to get in on it too, so it raised it to $100. The bet mutated into Pete having to get a girl and maintain the relationship for 6 months. It was hilarious because Pete was so afraid of losing $100. Witht that sort of confidense, it's no wonder he doesn't have a girl.

Training was mind numbing. They had gone through the first half during the morning, so I spent the majority of the time catching up on the material that I missed. It wasn't hard and by the end of the day, I was all caught up.

Very uneventful. Tomorrow promises to be equally uneventful.
