perspectives: matinee

4:00 PM EST rolled around and there was only 1 person in the audience. I wanted to start the show anyway so we went ahead. After Undigifnied finished their first dance, Tony and Todd came and told me that we should probably start again later when more people showed up.

This whole AST, Asian Standard Time, just really annoys me. I feel that we shouldn't allow them to perpetuate the problem by thinking, "Oh, they're going to start late." Granted, it's a hard lesson to learn, but it's the only thing that can be done. I want to be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem. If we don't start training them now, when do we start training them?

We finally started again at 4:30 PM EST to about an audience of 30 or so. Matinee show went as well as expected. The audience was kind of just there. There were moments when they clapped, but I'm not sure if they knew they should or not. That didn't really matter. The whole show ran a lot faster than we had first expected.

All in all, it was pretty good.
