programming to delivering pizza

Salon.com Technology | From programming to delivering pizza:
"As the jobless recovery putters on, the jobs that are being created aren't the kind that match the résumés of these professional software programmers. A recent study by researchers at the Economic Policy Institute found that two years after the recession officially ended in November 2001, what little job growth there has been has primarily been in low-paying jobs."

The prospects for me finding a job just keep getting lower and lower. I wish I could go back a year or two to when I want to double major in Business. Sure, it would have taken a few more years to complete, but it's better than what I'm doing now: sitting in front of the computer blogging listening to Stain'd.

Hopefully, I can get some job experience and go get my MBA, maybe that will give me better prospects in the future. I just can't help but feel like all this has been a huge waste of time.

Regardless, I have to trust and believe that God is bigger than the economy, that his hand is omniverous (a la Simpsons). This time hat He has given me has a purpose and a point. Maybe it was to do a bunch of writing. Maybe it's to meet up with youth kids. Whatever it is, I need to make the best of this free time that He's given me. Not many people have this kind of opportunity.
