sponsor meeting

The sponsor meeting was good. We spent a lot of time just chatting and catching up a bit about stuph that's been going on. Dave shared with us a bit about what was going on in his life.

Afterwards, we laid hands on Dave and prayed for both Dave and Rene. It's amazing what praying for another person can do to your own life and thinking.

It's amazing how God has everything laid out in front of Him. In times of suffering, it makes us depend on Him even more. Sure, there is the aspect of questioning and confusion over the purpose, but it shows us our weakness and our inabilities. It forces us not to only lean on God, but to sit in his lap or in his arms to carry us. And through our weaknesses, God's power is revealed.

I always thinkg about that argument, "God is for pansies and the weak" "I don't want God to be my crutch." So often, God is not. He is our wheelchair. He is our respirator. He is our lifeline that we need to rely on in order to get through the day.
