delias

m and i went to the mall in search of shoes for me again. lord and taylors was having a sale, but i didn't see anything that i liked. i wasn't really in the mood for shopping for myself, mainly because of my lack of income. we hit up a lot of girl stores.

we spent quite a while at delia's. m found a hat that she liked and a small tie that was really cheap. we brought it up to the register and the girl asked us, "are you all set?". after a few seconds, i commented that it was a pretty redundant question considering that we were already at the register. i guess the wit of the comment was lost on her 'cause she didn't seem to approve of it.

from my experience, most places ask you if you've found everything you're looking for, which is a much better question. it implies that they are willing to help if you have not succeeded in your quest. it also gives you a final chance to ask about something that either you couldn't find or just wanted to comment on.
