Q s Nancy

i met nancy, q's girlfriend. i asked her what her major was. she's doing a film/chinese major. i'm into a lot of movies, considering i've seen so many, so i figured we'd be able to talk about them from a more technical/art perspective. apparently, she hasn't seen that many movies. none of the classics anyway. the only classic she's seen is citizen cane. granted, it took me awhile to see it myself.

most of the movies that i mentioned, she had heard about, but never seen, which was a shame, considering that it is her major. i was also very surprised at the popular movies that i mentioned, such as: the rock, braveheart, terminator 2, etc. huge huge movies that aren't guy exclusive, well, maybe except the rock.

todd and i told her briefly about the spanish star wars: episode 1 that we had made back in high school. unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to show her the video. todd also talked about the film class he had taken during the summer and how i was his principle actor in almost each of his films. i kept saying that he did so well because of my superior acting abilitie; not really boasting, but boasting in jest.

i told nancy about how i was in the church drama team so i actually did have a bit of acting training/experience. i also mentioned that i was predominantly a writer and hinted that i wrote scripts. she commented that she was actually interested in writing scripts as well, so i invited her to come over and read what i had in progress.

a lot of the games wanted to come over as well, kind of like a last hurrah before everyone went back to school. while they played hold'em, i showed her my scripts. overall, i think she was impressed by them. she didn't say much, other than commenting that she liked them.

we played some star wars: epic duels, and then she was tired and went to sleep in the guest room. she woke up, not knowing where she was, which was quite humerous.
