Dan and Sophia s

normally, we would have our sponsor meetings, but for various reasons, most of the sponsors couldn't make it tonight. i had already rsvp'd to dan, so i let him know that i was going to bring todd. just spend some time chilling, getting to know each other.

dan and sophia don't live that far from me, just a little past the banana republic in denville. when we got to their townehouses, todd and i were a bit put off by how tall the buildings were. not like they were really massive or anything, but taller than most townehouses.

sophia had prepared all these baked goods for the sponsor meeting. she made this twisted cookies that were really good. she also made an apple cinnamin cake which was really good to. when todd and i got there, she offered us hash browns and sausage. what man can resist breakfast at night?

we spent the night just talking mostly. dan told us about his sister who works for sterling grove. they have clients such as: burger king, nickelodia, mtv, and others. his sister had worked on the new burger king logo.

sophia also showed us this foot massager. at first, when i tried it, i couldn't help giggling and laughing while the rollers were managing my feet. after a minute or so, my feet got used to it and it started feeling realy good. supposedly, this machine is really good because it breaks up scar tissue.

todd was digging through some of their cd's and found this 80's energy cd. all it was was remixed 80's music. the remixing was actually pretty decint. dan and sophia talked about some of their experiences clubbing and how one time, the dj just popped in a cd, the same one that dan had. we talked about having some sort of party where we can just play music and dance and have a good time. away from all the pervs and druggies.

this got todd in the mood for such 80's classics as: airsupply. their lack of airsupply was very disheartening to todd, so they threw in an 80's mix cd sohpia's brother had mad. it consisted of mostly michael jackson and u2. afterwards, we threw in some savage garden.

this whole time, i was playing w/ these small pooh and tiger dolls. they had magnets in their hands so they could clasp their own hands or each others'. they could also clasp various metallic objects. using the power of grasping, i made them choke each other, cover their eyes, and hold each others hands. i eventually stuck them on to one of their chandaliers.


gene's

after dan and sophia's, todd and i went to gene's to play some poker, brian and q were already there w/ gamecube set up.

brain, gene and i wanted to play some no limit hold'em tournament style w/ 1$ usd buy in. neither q nor todd were willing to fork up the dollar to play. instead, q sat in front of the computer while todd sat in front of gamecube trying to beat super monkey ball 2.

we played 3 rounds of poker. the first, brian knocked gene out on a hand where gene was on a flush draw, but it never came. eventually, brian tried to make a move on me, going all in, but i held the superior hand w/ two pair, king high, and an ace kicker. he only had a pair. so i won the first round.

the second round, i pretty much knocked gene out. so it was down to me and brian again. my stack started dwindling, and i went all in on a marginal hand, thinking that brian didn't have anything. it turned out that he had a straight.

the last round, gene was doing really well. he knocked brian out and was pulling me in. i felt bad, because both brian and i had won, so we were each up a dollar. i decided to take a risk, taking comfort in knowing that it would be alright if gene won. gene showed the better hand.

afterwards, we played a bit of super monkey ball 2 golf. at first, i was in the lead by 4 strokes. it wasn't until hole 10 that really screwed me over. gene and i kept going for the distant island and kept on landing out of bounds. after such a horrible hole, gene and i pretty much gave up on the rest of the game. we kept going for those really difficult insanely risky shots. we never finished the game though. around hole 16, it was really late, and we all went home.
