lunch with sara

Sara and I met up in front of Trader Joe's in Florham Park, uncertain of where to go for lunch. We walked around a bit and she remembered that there was a pancake house that we could hit up. When we got to the place, it wasn't there. Instead, there was something called: Cullen's. Not really sure where else to go, we figured, why not? I gave Ben a ring and let him know where we'd be.

Cullins was interesting. It was like a cross between a deli and small market. There was a salad bar and other things. The oddest part was over the PA, they played techno. I looked around at the clientelle, which was mostly middle aged adults and wondered if they even noticed the techno.

Being my first time, I was uncertain of what to get. Everything looked good, but nothing really jumped out at me and screamed, "you have to eat me! Now! Or else I'll die!!!". I asked the guy working behind the counter what he recommended. He showed me different things of chicken which all looked pretty good. Sara and Ben were eyeing the crabcakes and it didn't take much of their convincing to get me to order one as well. I forgoed the sandwich and had the crabcake by itself. Sara and I also saw the grilled vegitables and had to have some.

The crabcakes were alright. They didn't have much crabmeat in them, but for about $5 USD, what can you expect? The grilled vegetables, on the other hand, were amazing. I wish I had more of them.
