fungal growth

For the last 4 weeks or so, there has been this spot on the left side of my left knee that really itches. At first, I thought it might be a rash or hives or something, but it wasn't itchy all the time, nor was it bumpy. It's a little red and a little dry, so I thought it was just something with that patch of skin.

Finally, I decide to ask someone, other than M, what it could be. Dave K, one of the guys from my men's group is a docter, so I asked him. He poked at it a bit and told me that it was fungal. Now, I don't know if it's an infection or what, but I know I don't want fungus on me. He wrote down what sort of cream or ointment I should use to get rid of it.

So after men's group, I run by Stop and Shop on the way home to pick up a tube. I'm walking all over the place trying to find this one tube with no success. Finally, I decide to call Dave K to see if he could help me locate this thing. After about 10 or 15 minutes of searching in the first aid section, I make my way further down the aisle to the footcare section and finally find it.

I got home and applied the stuff. I guess it's working because it feels a bit like this cold biting on the spot. We'll see in a week.
