prepping for the party
I woke up around 10:00 AM EST brushed my teeth and finished up preparing for the party. I spent almost the entire morning wrapping shrimp in bacon. I almost forgot to eat. There was some left over bacon, so I threw it in a pan with an orange belle pepper and some eggs. I intended to make an omellette, but there was too much meat and peppers. It turned into this weird scrambled egg thing instead. It tasted fine, but just didn't look as good as it could have.
It was around 1:15 PM EST so I jumped in the shower real quick. I shaved and ran out the door to my hair appointment. I spent a good hour on Tuesday looking for different places to get my hair done. It was hard considering the only resources I knew of was places like superpages.com and yellowpages.com. I did a google search and found a site that did only salon type stuff. It had a built in search capability and showed approximately how far it was from the entered zip code. I found a place in Florham Park that looked pretty good.
The guy who cut my hair was a guy named Rich. He was really kewl. Into horror films, specifically, the old school zombie movies. I was in the waiting area for about 20 to 30 minutes, but it was worth it. He did a great job with my hair. I also found some new product to put in my hair. Neither of us liked gel. He suggested I use this styling cream. It can be a little greasy, but its 100 times better than gel ever was. It rinses out easily at night, and its still malliable during the day.
I finished my hair appointment around 3:45 PM EST. There were still a few minor things I needed to pick up. I also still had to change. There was plenty of time for everything, but I was still a bit nervous about the whole surprise.
