little black dress

Last night, right after work, I took M to short hills to do a bit of shopping. We're going to this fancy restaurant for her birthday and she needed a little black dress.

The first and last place we stopped was United Colors of Benneton. They had 3 little black dresses, and it seemed like M was in the changing room forever. We found one that she really liked and that looked really good on her.

While she was in there, I just kept tossing more and more clothes at her to try on. I found this orange shirt that had no seems and this little bit of shiny spots on it. It looked really fun but she didn't get it. She tried on this gray suit too, but didn't get it.

Afterwards, we went to Banana Republic; I wanted to show her that orange, blue, and light blue shirt that I was eyeing. I decided to finally try it on. I grabbed a medium and tried it on but it was too big! When did I become so small? I had M grab me a small and it was still a little too big. I went into the dressing room and tried on a pair of jeans too. I liked the look, but the shirt was just too big on me. It made my torso look really long. It was almost as if the shirt was designed to be untucked, but it just hung too long if it was.

The jeans were pretty cheap, but I just didn't like the color. If I'm going to get me a pair of jeans, I'm going to get me a nice pair.
