Review: Knights of the Old Republic

i finished star wars: knights of the old republic, a few days ago. i played it for like 3 days straight. it was extremely laggy on my system though. i had to turn everything off and close all other appz that i was running.

this was one of the few rpg's that i actually finished. if you consider diablo 2 an rpg, than i finished that as well.

overall, the game is pretty good. the story is interesting enough to keep you moving through the game. there's no point in the game where you don't know what you're supposed to do next. it also has a great great quest log. instead of just logging your day to day activities, it keeps a running tab of what quests still need to be completed and the latest information relevant to that quest.

just like all good rpgs, you have to run a lot of errands before you get to the meat of the main quest. kotor is excellently tiered in this way. there is never a time when this feals forced or even laborsome. there are times when you have to run around a lot, but the depth of each individual quest is pretty shallow so it works well in the tiered system.

the best thing about the game, just like virtually every other star wars game, is the use of force powers. the majority are powerful and really give you the sense that you're an unstoppable machine.

crosse == masturbation

Business 2.0 - 101 Dumbest Moments in Business:
"In Canada, General Motors is forced to come up with a new name for its Buick LaCrosse sedan after discovering that crosse is a slang term for masturbation in Quebec. "

this is nice to know, wouldn't want to "crosse" the street. hee hee.
