8-Bit Theatre

i found this new web comic from /.. it's pretty good. it uses the character sprites from the original final fantasy 1 and 2. it's interesting because the comic mixes different rules/sources of rpg's. sometimes, it references the final fantasy world, and others, it references the d&d world.

although i have never acutually played the pen and paper d&d game, i have tried my hand at games based on the rules, such as baldur's gate. i understand enough about the rules and the concepts that when web comics such as 8-bit thetre and real life reference them, i know enough to appreciate the jokes/references. i don't know if this is something i should be proud of.

the comic is pretty good. there were actually a few times that i laughed out loud, which is rare for any sort of comic/comedy.
