i went to visit our fallen commander today. spent most of the evening w/ him chatting, watching tv, and playing vid games.

i went over his place around 5pm est. we spent some time just catching up w/ each other. we talked about paintball last night and how that went. we also talked about soul purpose and some of the things that are going on w/ that.

we talked about the casting for triple helix and got some interesting insight. we'll see how the table read goes. most of the choices were the same as i had thought before. it should be interesting to hear the actors this sunday.

then we spent the rest of the night playing mario kart double dash. the game is pretty interesting w/ the second person on board. in single player mode, it doesn't make much of a difference. but if you play co-op, that's when the game really shines. the players can switch and it adds another layer of complexity to the game.

the only real issue i have w/ the game is the controls. the controls are laid out in such a way that after a few hours of playing, your hand really gets cramped up.
