Scratch Academy
I went this DJ class last night not really expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually learned a good amount.
The two main things that I learned were how to cue up a track and how to drop a track in.
My only previous experience has been with virtual decks. The theory of beatmatching is pretty clear. But going from the PC to real decks was a huge jump.
I'm still not sure if djing is something that I want to do or how serious I'm going to be about it. I'm not ready to drop around 1k for some hardware that I may not use that often.
But if this is something that I really want to do, I wouldn't be afraid to get some decks and start spinning.
Sigh. So many decisions.
