interview at ubs

So I had my interview today. Things went well. I talked to and met so many people. It was boss after boss after boss. I felt like I had climbed the entire corporate ladder. What I thought would only be a 30 minute interview, turned out to be a 2 hour process.

After I met with Bill, Dave's boss's boss, I went to say "Hi" to Clifton, Rob, and some of Dave's other coworkers.

Then I met Phyllis, and then Dan, and then Bob. I felt like I met the entire org chart. Before I knew it, I was shuffled off to see the next person.

When I met with Dan, I talked a bit about my passion of writing. About how I went from prose in middle school, to poetry in high school, and then to scripts now. He asked me about the dicotemy of art and technology. I explained how coding and writing were similar, in the sense that you're creating something creative in both forms. One is more functional than the other, that's all.

When I met with Bob, we talked about the internet and how we get on it. He asked me about my LAN at home and I told him about my set up. He mentioned that he had Optimum Online. I said that I had the same thing and remembered an article on /. about hacking your surfboard modem.

After I met with Bob, I went to lunch with Dave. The prices in the company cafe are really expensive, just like every other cafeteria. I had myself a chicken salad sandwich, the same meal I had while I was at Mercedes.

All in all, it was a good morning. I had a good time meeting all the different people and I think my prospects are pretty good.
