Playstation 2

after reading this, i kind of want to get ps2 and ddr now. of all the consoles, it was always a toss up between gamecube and ps2. gamecube has the party games, but ps2 has more/better games in general.

the same issue i have w/ the ps2 is the same issue i have w/ treadmills designed for running. will i really be committed to it? granted, ddr is a lot of fun and has good music. treadmills lack the "fun" factor. although, ddr is better for you in terms of burning calories, i'm looking to do more than that. i guess jumping around and moving your feet so fast is kind of like running.

it may not improve my speed, but it will definately get me into shape. it's just a matter of talking to my mom about this now. we've talked about getting ps2 in the past, but i wanted to get it as a dvd player as well. now that we have a dvd player, it may not be as enticing. still, there is the final fantasy series, the backwards compatibility, and mod chips. thank god for mod chips.

then again, there is the additional investment in good ddr pads which will run another 100$ usd. the upside is that the whole package, ps2, ddr, ddr pads, will be cheaper than a treadmill designed for running. it's also more versatile, ie: plays other games, and i can entertain people when they come over. of course, the games for ps2 aren't designed for parties, unlike gc.

we'll see. w/o an income, its hard for me to just go out and buy something.
